18 Nov 2024 by KreNI

This year, the 10th KreNI conference is thrilled to shine a spotlight on Sweden as its country of focus. Renowned for its innovative approaches and forward-thinking strategies, Sweden will serve as a source of inspiration, showcasing some of the most impressive practices in urban development and sustainability.

Attendees can look forward to an interactive exhibition, where they’ll discover Sweden’s pioneering achievements in smart city development. This unique experience will provide a firsthand look at how Swedish cities have seamlessly integrated technology and sustainability to improve urban living.

Adding depth to the event, three distinguished speakers will share their invaluable insights and experiences across crucial areas such as climate change and environmental protection, human rights, and business development. Their expertise will offer attendees a comprehensive understanding of Sweden’s multifaceted approach to growth and social progress.

One of the highlights of the conference will be a special exploration of the “15-minute city” concept—a revolutionary urban model developed in the 1950s in Stockholm’s Vällingby suburb. This session will delve into how this model has influenced contemporary urban planning from both academic and business perspectives.

The Swedish Embassy in Serbia is our traditional partner for KreNI in promoting this remarkable exchange of knowledge and fostering closer ties between Sweden and Niš.
