E-ride & Take it Back: KreNI10 awarded ideas!
8 ideas | 2 awards | initiatives on creating 15-minutes city

Day "D" of the #KreNI10 conference took place on December 7th!

After fruitful workshops od December 6th and 7th and the opportunity to work on their ideas, participants present their idea on creating solutions that we can apply to 15 minutes city concept.

Each team was consisted of 5-7 members and has 2 days for creating ide and preparing famous elevator-pitch presentation. One thing more, every team includes participants from North Macedonia and Serbia that foster various perspectives and contribute to the multicultural and multipractic ideas mutually for our communities in the region.

 During the pitching part, 8 teams presented their ideas and jury members were: Andreas Bryngelson, Business Developer at Lund University, Lidija Stefanović Nikolić, Chief Urban Planner for the City of Niš, Tijana Jugović, Public Diplomacy Officer at the US Embassy in Serbia, Vladimir Jovanović, representative of the Tourism Office Niš and Sandra Dejanović, Director of Alta bank branch in Nis .

We will underline that 8 teams as well known as CleaNIng, E-ride, Green Print, RešiNI, Take it Back, Food Loop, Movement Archipelago and Ride & Revide related their ideas on proximity concept segments and how to make everyday life more accessible and easy for citizens, especially for vulnerable social groups.

CleaNIng and RešiNI are focused on combating air pollution and raising awareness of its impact on public health and reporting neighbourhood issues at the micro community level.

E-ride was an app that integrates various transport services into one platform, streamlining urban mobility also as Green Print team’s application for  incentivizing ecological actions by rewarding users with points redeemable at local producers. Take It Back team made a program dedicated to revitalizing Stara Železnička Kolonija. Movement Archipelago brought us a platform for encouraging citizens to actively participate in problem solving initiatives for urban challenges in Niš.

Jury members were surprised how many technological and innovative solutions our team offered especially when also teams Food Loop and Ride & Revide had presented their ideas on applications that offer discounts on leftover food from restaurants at the end of the day, with options to donate surplus food to humanitarian organizations, instead of wasting it and combine cultural programs and tours of Niš with bicycle-based transportation like Ride & Revide did.

The winning idea of KreNI10 was “E-ride” and the award for team will be study visits to Ohrid (North Macedonia) for the Startup Weekend Festival and mentoring support for developing further their idea. 

Special award of the City of Nis was given to the idea “Take it back” as an idea that has the potential to be developed in the City of Nis.
