Milica Raskovic

Milica Raskovic is a graduated pedagogue with a specialization in youth work and a master in the field of gender studies. She is very active in the non-governmental sector as an educator, project coordinator and she founded and led three non-governmental organizations in Novi Sad. In addition to the civil sector, Milica has extensive experience in cultural management as the coordinator of the small cultural center American Corner, which she has run for 16 years and for which she received a prestigious award from the US Council of Public Diplomats. She has been involved in the process of applying for the title of European Capital of Culture from the very beginning when she led the team for writing the application and together with her colleagues in Brussels defended the title. After winning the title, Milica was hired to develop programs with the local population through infrastructure projects and the development of new models involving citizens in cultural projects. She has developed and implemented the program "Walks through heritage" which envisages organized tours with active, interesting citizens about hidden places of cultural heritage of Novi Sad and its surroundings.
